Personal Reflection

This semester has been very productive semester to me. I’ve learned many things, especially in the English Writing Course. It encouraged me to get better marks in other courses that required writing essays and reports.

One of the first things I’ve learned is how to write a decent summary. I had a very little experience on it when I was in high school, but I just thought I had to write shorter sentences. Mr. Gregory taught the right steps to do it. He told us that we should first underline every important part of the article, and then we should write the main ideas as point, finally we can now rewrite the summary using the short main points of the article.  This became very helpful to me when the other teachers give us a limit for words in our assignments.

Also, one of the important things we learned in this course is how to include a bibliography in our assignments using APA Format. Bibliography is a page in the last page of a repot or essay that includes the sources of the information we used in the report or essay. This has to be written in Alphabetic order. Almost every assignment we handed in this semester had a bibliography.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that this blog is by far the most helpful thing I learned this semester. It has everything in this semester; it will be a very helpful resource to use later in the coming days.
